10 Expectations We Have of Ministry Team Members

1.   We expect you to be a member in good standing of DCF. To be a member of Destiny Christian Fellowship in good standing, one is required to: have trusted Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior; submit a request by filling out and turning in our Membership Profile in-person at our worship center or online via our website; have been baptized as a follower of Christ or be willing to be baptized; have a sincere desire to be a fully devoted follower of Christ and to obey His Word as taught in the worship services, classes, and Bible studies of the Church; regularly attend (in-person or online) the worship services, classes, and/or Bible studies of the Church; regularly contribute tithes and/or regular offerings in support of the work of the Church; and be an active member of a DCF Life group and/or serve in one or more ministries of the church or be willing to do so.

2.   We expect you to strive to be filled with the Holy Spirit continually (Eph.5:18).

3.   We expect you to develop a general knowledge of God’s Word (Col. 3:16; 2 Tim. 2:15).

4.   We expect you to seek to be free from the habitual, deliberate practice of sin (Rom. 6:11-14; 1 Jn. 3:9) and walk in accountability with others (Ja. 5:16).

5.   We expect you to serve others with humility (Rom.12:16).

6.   We expect you to serve others with compassion (1 Pe. 3:8).

7.   We expect you to serve others without favoritism (1Tim.5:21; Ja.2:1).

8.   We expect you to be teachable and continue to grow in knowledge (Pr. 18:15).

9.   We expect you to seek to make wise, prayerful decisions (Acts 6:3; Ja. 1:5).

10.  We expect you to honor and walk in submission to our church’s leadership (1 Thes. 5:12-13; Heb. 13:17).

I understand that at any time, I may relinquish my membership on the ministry team of DCF. However, as long as I choose to serve, I intend to abide by the expectations listed above. If you agree, please fill out the information below.
